A great shortcoming of the flu vaccines is that they are specific in their target, unlike our own immune system that (when working correctly) identifies and targets any pathogen.

Here is an example of what happens when the vaccine makers don't have something in place ... no great cries of alarm over this significant outbreak? hmmm....
A million infected in Ukraine flu epidemic - AFP

Ukraine's epidemic of flu and acute respiratory disorders has now affected more than a million people, the country's deputy health minister said on Tuesday.

Vasyl Lazoryshynets said the death toll from the epidemic had risen to 174, as President Viktor Yushchenko warned the country must brace itself for a second wave of infections. Read more.

- Why is the World Health Organization not telling the world of the developing events in Ukraine and surrounding nations with this lethal flu, which independent sources claim is not "swine flu?"

Hi Girls(claire,joyful,kate)

Thanks for your replies and taking the time.

Interesting event last week (thurs) which reading this thread brought into my head. I attended a meeting in work where one of the guys got out of his flu bed to attend(how stupid) but anyhow i tried to shield myself as  he sat across from me perspiring and coughing. Felt a bit off on sat morn then developed congestion and sore throat and by the afternoon i could feel a heavyness in my chest.

I remembered reading here some where to use salted water or mouth wash and gargle every 2 hours(early intervention), kept clearing my throat and nasal passages and not letting any mucus be ingested and by tuesday i was totally clear. I think with this and the MP i was able to fend it off, as before MP that always would have developed into a bad flu for me, particularly at this time of year.:D

Rico ,

interesting articles especially the tamiflu and neuramindase inhibitors as

that yhere has been mp members that have had complications from tamiflu..

but the first article on vaccination is speculative nonsense with no understanding of what a vaccine achieves or trying to achieve ..

no one thinks a vaccine stops you getting the flu .. or pnumonia .. its to lessen the impact and the study was poor.
