It has been sometime since I posted, but nevertheless I have faithfully pursued
the protocol. Last blood work indicated my d levels were down to 14. Hooahhh!!!
I will get around to posting my metabolites from this last batch of tests.
I have started Ph III and one week as past and the synergistic effects of the
three meds have produced a large bumpy rash on my chest, stomach, arms
and back. Itchy? You betcha! Moreover, old wounds to my hands are itchy like
crazy, fingers feel like there are bugs crawling under my skin. Finger joints ache
where I have injured them at sometime or another. Old scare tissue from deep cuts to my hand from a sheet of glass in the late 80's itch. My left palm has been itchy for over
a two months and now ever more so in the location where I drove an electrician
screw driver amost right through my palm back in the 80's. Knuckle joints ache were they never did
before. Psoriasis on the last three fingers of my right hand has cleared up almost completely, whereas before six knuckles were treated to zinc cream frequently but not
really clearing anything up. Now it is almost gone!
My left ankle ached so bad one day I thought it was going to give out and not support me
feeling the multiple joints hurting to put pressure on. Now has abated. Toe pain spikes
occasionally came and went. The sole of my left foot was burning like it used to ten years ago but abated when I took mega dosages of Calcium fortified with 'D'! And two months
ago I suffered the most annoying, uncomfortable butt herxx and rash which lasted about
two to three weeks and vanished. I noticed a large skin callous on the side of my right toe which was becoming very uncomfortable. To my surprise, the toe is perfectly natural now, no callous. It's gone! The first day I took the third med proscribed, I experienced a sharp pain in my brain like a bubble of bad gass but it went away. Just observing the things
that are going on in my body.
I keep my NOIRs on full time almost as I am more photo sensitive than before. Frequent occasions of fatigue are rewarded with a dark room and copious amounts of sleep. I was surprised by the amount of energy I have had these two past days, inspite of this full blown itchy rash that is all red and blotchy. No sunshine but it looks like a sun burn but bumpy somewhat. Strange.
I have been observing my emotions closely this past week and have experienced some hot tempered out bursts from feeling agitated with some things I had no control over. I knew before hand to expect such a possible effect from the third med.
Prostrate issues seem to be gradually improving. Blood pressure is simply great!! Facial skin
completion is youthful and clear. 49 going on 62 eh?
Hip joints hurt often and sometimes I just hurt all over and then I am rewarded with occasion of being able to run up the stairs or even compete for my US Army Rifleman's Qualification test which is somewhat exhausting over a two day period.. Then I am gassed and it takes a few days to recover.
I just wish I knew what this rash is all about. I know conventional medicine will say, well
boy you are having an allergic reaction to the meds, lets try something else or don't take them anymore. However, when such effects arise we perceive the good that is being accomplished as a herx. If these are bugs from Lyme or whatever, I perish the thought of
what they could have developed into.
Overall, I think I am prospering on the MP with a full year behind me the journey
is getting interesting. There have been times where I was weary of not feeling great
and though of droping out for a while but I realize I get my good well feelings time to time and renew my determination to persist on the straight and narrow path.
I am aware this 3rd med is a serious bacteria scavenger so I will keep you posted on any
new discoveries. This is the start of week two now.
I just checked myself for the extent of this rash and now discover it has travelled
all over my back and down my legs and arms. Some are like mosquito bites
and others remind me of chicken pox without scabs. They appear circular
and are extremely itchy. All provoked by one week of taking 31.5 mg of Z and 1/2 of a 75 mg capsul of the third med and 25 mg of the second med once every two days with regular Bencar four times per day. I just took some Benedryl to ameloriate the itching
because it is getting bad. Wow. What is happening to me? Think I should back off the
third med to every three days or take a break? What is in store for me for the next
coming week? Feeling awefully concerned here.
Professional comments welcome. Yes Dr. Marshall, I am very much still in this race
suffering the journey ( not as much as many others though) so that I can enjoy the destination. Still enjoying my Ezekial bread and no Wisconsin bread.
Sincerely,
Philip

I posted this update on another section but did not receive any feed back so I am trying here.
Today Tuesday (June 30th) the rash or spots have spread down my legs and thigh. Some spots are the size of a dime with a central pale core that is about 1/8 inch core of discoloured or faded white appearance against a red bulleye. Yeah, I was thinking am covered in tick bites. There is something strangely familiar about one of these spots
going back to 1990 or 1991. Like I had just one of them before. Origninal tick bite?
I am not certain. However what I am experiencing right now is a definite herx.
Bumps have broken out today on some of my fingers that are tiny. When I scratch the itch I leave a tiny hole behind like a miniscule grain of salt. This is true of my legs and thigh of which spots are much larger.
There seems to be a central cylinder core to each one of them. Slighty raised spot.
Itchy like all heck. Stomach and chest, and especially my back and side of my trunk
torso. Some are like the aftermath of a mosquito attack. Sheesh!!!! Was very fatigued
this morning. Stayed home today. I am going to have an epson salts bath and see if there
is any efficacy from that. Now what were these bugs doing before they got all worked up
by the three meds and Benecar? I read some posts about rashes occuring during PH#3 but this herx has caught me by serious surprise. I am almost leary to take my meds tonight. I think I will spread this over a three day period instead of every two. This
thing just blew up out of no where and is trying to dominate me. Something like the president I suppose. Please, has anyone experienced or understands what is going on
I solicit your commentary.

Phillip, your red itchy blotches are most likely IPs. They can show up any time during the MP, including the Phase III. Please see this link for further information.
ManagingImmunopathology
Also see the new revision of Phase I which has a lot of info on managing IPs with references to other possible inquiries.
Phase One Document
Have you tried upping your Benicar schedule to 40mg every four hours? After four 1/2 years on the MP and taking every possible antibiotic combo, I still refer to the Phase 2 and 3 guidelines. Here's the link for you to again look over. Every time I read them, I learn something new. Could be brain fog has prevented it from sticking...but I prefer to think that new ideas and helpful hints have been added along the way.

You cannot imagine how much I appreciate and value your commentary. Thank you!
The red itchy blotches have gone. I stopped taking mino and Clyndi for the past week
while maintaining my regular regime of Benecare every four hours. I returned to Zith
1/8 tab and mino last night to get back into cycle. Now the red itchy blotches behaved
like and looked like the aftermath of a whole lot of mosquito bites. Legs were the worst.
I confess I am somewhat reticent about wanting to repeat this experience. Starting Phase
3 came on like the fourth of July on me. So I have backed off for a short spell.
We had too much sun yesterday even though we were partially shaded and well clothed
I am feeling achey all over, joints and back etc. from yard work two days ago and then five hours of shooting outdoors yesterday. I can remember so well how such normal activities never fizzed on me. Sighhh. I emailed complete with pictures of the itchy rash and blotches to my MP doctor and never as much as received the courtesy of a reply, so your followup to my posting is more than welcomed. Thank you again.
Best regards,
Philip
