In addition to my Sarcoidosis I also have an arthritic knee ptobably osteoarthritis.  I know that arthritis is caused by Th1 pathogens.  I am at the 19 month point in the MP and early in phase 3.  The pain in my knee when walking is not improving and may have gotten worse in the last few months.  Some of this if not most is probably IP.  My questionis this.  After all the bugs are killed and there is no more IP what is the prognosis for arthritic joints?  I have read in several locations on ther MP site that the MP stops progression of the disease by killing the pathogens causing it.  As a general rule does the pain ultimately resolve?  Is there any hope for regeneration of the joint and some of the cartlige after all the bugs are gone?  Does anyone know what the end game looks like for arthritic joints once the MP has run its course and all bugs are gone?  I thought I read somewhere that Dr. Marshal says at about the 4 year point the stem cells start to regenerate cartlige.  However, I cannot find that information anymore.
