Hi all,
I've been lurking for a while and I thought I'd go ahead and do my initial report.
I've had CFS symptoms for about 15 years. This includes heavy fatigue, MCS, food sensitivities, IBS, brain fog, anxiety/phobia, depression, sleep problems, tinnitus, etc...
I have found that my symptoms vary greatly with my diet, physical or mental exertion, sun exposure, heat or cold exposure, stress, etc... So it's like my general adaptation mechanism is broken. An interesting thing that I've noted is that good stress is equaly as detrimental to symptom exacerbation as bad stress. (an example of good stress can be intensely enjoying good music or umm well... you know!) So yeah, life is amazing
I've done a lot of things, and I'm not cured so I'm doing the Marshall Protocol now. I just started the Olmesartan alone to observe it's effects. So far so good. I'll add the mino in another week or so (I'm bracing myself for Thor's hammer). I'm actually hoping for herx, is that crazy?
Bacteria beware, I'm coming and I'm bringing hell with me!
inuk

I'm into my fourth cycle of mino 25mg.
I think I have some neuro IP popping up evidenced by a persistent low grade headache (started two days ago) and mild hypomania. Feeling edgy, restless, thoughts and ideas coming fast and loose, poor focus and impulse control. And I can pretty much write off any effort to get some sleep.
I havn't experience much of this since my early 20's when I took Effexor.
I just took an extra 20mg benicar, so hopefully that helps take the edge off.
I'll also have to start being more vigilant about light exposure
Now let's see if I can conjure enough creative energy to catch up on some long defered design work...

hello pain... ughhh
I'm still waiting to get my 25D result back which was drawn before I started. The lab reports delays due to overwhelming requests... mkay. At this point I still have no idea where I stand. In any case I will request a mail-in test to be sure I'm trending in the right direction. At 50mg mino and will stay at this dosage until I hit 15ng/ml.
bacteria = fail

After chasing my tail trying to get my 25D result back from my local lab for months, I ordered a test kit from ZRT lab. The process was easy, and the result came back reasonably quickly. My result is 14 ng/mL.
I'm now confident to proceed up to 100mg mino after another week or two on 75mg. Some problems I'm dealing with at the moment are periods of worsening fatigue, dysthymia, lassitude (causing me to fall behind on work), mole hills looking like mountains. But I also have periods of feeling good enough to take a short bike ride at night and feel surprisingly good doing it.
Since moving up to 75mg mino and taking extra benicar sublingualy, I've noticed a couple warts dissapearing. At first they got bigger and quite itchy, and now they're little more than a very small flat patch of callousy skin (so they're not totally gone yet). Could this be evidence of innate immune activity increasing or just an artifact of the potassium sparing effect of benicar? (potassium defficiency has been hypothesized to contribute to warts). These warts have been around for many years without any changes. I used the apple cider vinegar "cure" a couple years ago but they came back within a week.

Hi Inuk.
Glad the ZRT test worked for you. I think your 'back logged' sample will be fine as long as they handled it ok. The value is not really of too much interest now any way I suppose.
I have also battled the ADD type symptoms that come with the IP. I actually bought a book on coping tricks for staying functional while my 'focus' part of my brain is out to lunch. Making lists is big. Putting them when you have to see them all the time is big too. I hope you get the inspiration you need to do your design work.
2am has been a good time for inspiration while on the MP.
It's always nice when something clears up right away, like your warts. Take your victories where you can.

Thanks Joyful!
I'm training up a few people to take up the slack, and I'll look into getting a big whiteboard to put on the wall for keeping track.
That's funny, my brain turns on only late at night, 2am sounds about right... if it turns on at all.

I started Phase 2 six days ago. I'm still alive... good.
I've been eating carbs like a crazed rabid maniac, tie me down.
Still smoking those God damnable cigarettes
Does the MP cure self control problems, or do I need to just try harder? Never mind, I'll just try harder... after this one I promise.
My mum started the MP too for osteoarthritis, yay.
She's a bit too antsy to sit in front of the computer to read stuff on here so I'll relay any questions she has. She's at 25mg mino and doing good.
She also has great fashion sense with covering up. I think she looks cooler than ever!

I just got my 25D result back from a draw I had done back on March 25 at the local lab. Yes, that's over half a year ago. This was done right before I started the MP. The result is 9 ng/mL. The test that was done in June by ZRT reported 14 ng/mL.
The difference could be because of some exposure from the summer sun, but I wonder if the first test could be a false low from metabolite decay, I mean when it's that old it could have been in and out of the freezer a couple times, who knows. But anyway it's old news really so who cares.

Good Lord that took a long time. I thought mine was bad - it took a mere 2 months. What the heck?

The 25-D sometimes rises after you commence the MP. It is, after all, being controlled by your body metabolism at this point
ps: 14ng/ml is OK for healing, it will fall down into the preferred are soon enough ( <10ng/ml)

hei, i but in here
thanks for commeting my post in another thread. Come to think of it, I also experience similuar thing to what you described as: Some other bizarre things were geometric patterns becoming disturbingly prominent (like in rugs, wallpaper etc...), contrast auras, after image persistence, depersonalization/derealization (feeling outside of yourself). "
During a period I experienced a light variant of after image persistence (perhaps After image persistence is slightly similuar what Swedish people with borrelia infection report having, when they speak about having double vision).
No, the experience of poor depth persception is not at all amusing, when the surrounding appears to be a cardboard cut outs (good way of describing it!!). Quite terrifying. It is like I walk through space, when my brain experience that there is no space to walk through. And people, and all other things, are perceived as card board cut outs, walking about.
Soon, I will begin to post how I am doing on the marshall protocoll. Best of luck//Tussilago, Sweden

The symptom set will always be different for each person depending on their own special mix of th1 pathogens. Some have it more in the body, others have it more in the brain. When it's affecting the brain, it can cause anything, after all our brain is the tool that lets us perceive our universe.

I'm at 62.5mg zith and was at 50mg mino for nearly a full zith cycle but was too disabled so I backed down to 25mg and I felt good enough to do a full week of productive work.
Some curious things to note since being in phase 2...
- hit hard but not suddenly (it crept up ) by IP
- got the flu and had a vigorous immune response including upper respiratory involvement and a high fever (not the usual low grade garbage) which an ibuprophen brought down nicely
- noticed black scum deposit in the toilet bowl (ewwww!)
- was sad that my bottom front teeth were rotting but just discovered that it scrapes off!!
I've never had tartar before and didn't even recognize it. I can easily go half a year without brushing (I know, ewwww!) and not get any tartar and very little plaque so this is an interesting IP manifestation!... Of course it's one that I was aware of from reading others reports and looking out for, but like I said, I didn't recognize it. I'll be booking a professional cleaning very soon.

Thanks for sharing inuk.
I wrote this somewhere else recently about the Zith building up:
"The phase 2 guidelines of course, state that you may need to delay a dose if IP starts to build.
I'm going to draw a stick picture here to try to show what that is about:
**********---------~~~~~~~~~~................ Zith dose 1
**********----------~~~~~~~~~~................ Zith dose 2
**********----------~~~~~~~~~~..........Zith dose 3
**********----------~~~~~~~~~~Zith dose 4
**********----------Zith dose 5
**********Zith dose 6
Each line is attempting to represent various Zith levels in the body's tissues.
See how the 1st dose is still hanging around for weeks after it was taken? That means that the next dose, even though it might be the same milligrams, is going to be on top of the Zith from the first dose and they start to add up.
Around the 5th dose of Zith you could possibly have 5 different doses at work."

Thank you Joyful, I forgot to mention that as part of my management strategy, I also included stretching out my previous zith dose a few extra days.
