My 1-25 D test results are42 pg/ml and my 25-D is 23 ng/ml.  The lab work was sent to the Mayo clinic and their 1-25 D normal lab range is 18-78.  I am an nutritionist and have been reading for a long time how important it is to not be deficient in Vit D so I have been taking Vit D supplements for a long time about 4 years.  So I was very surprised that my 25-D results indicate that I am actually deficient in Vit D.  I believe I have CFS.  My ratio is 1.83 but, since I have been taking Vit D supplementation what would my actual ration be? Anyway of knowing.  I supplement with 2,000 mg/day in winter and 1,000 mg/day in the summer months.

Thanks.

Hello, Bella, and welcome!

You may refer to the new tool in the MP Knowledge Base for metabolite interpretation.  This source will help you in Interpreting Vitamin D Metabolites .

This link from http://www.bacteriality.com references the truth about Vitamin D and is among many other excellent articles presenting pertinent information about the secosteroid-D.

You will no doubt reevaluate your present actions, as hundreds of us have done with our previous lifestyles, as you learn more about the MP.  You may begin your search at these additional links--Essential MP Information and the MP FAQs.

Best regards and keep in touch! . . . Carole  :)
