I haven't seen any members as having Macular Degeneration.
Is that condition readily accepted for the MP?

The history of the Marshall Protocol
http://www.Bacteriality.com has much interesting Information.
"In the following video, I explain the science that forms the backbone of the Marshall Protocol in simple terms. I discuss the bacteria implicated in causing chronic inflammatory disease, and explain how these pathogens affect the immune system. I also describe the basics of the treatment itself, providing information that any patient who plans to start the Marshall Protocol, or any doctor planning to put a patient on the MP, should understand. My narration is accompanied by slides with pictures and images of the pathogens and molecules I discuss. The video is 89 minutes."

Thank you for the references you sent. They were very helpful Please note my circumstances and the question that follows:
1. My daughter (age 54) has Lyme Disease since 2002. (She wants to start MP asap)
2. My wife (age 74) has chronic cough for 20 years. It is progressing with other symptoms. (Doctor suspects Sarcoidosis) (ACT test=78) (She wants to start MP asap)
3. I (age 74) have Macular Degeneration. (I want to start MP asap)
4. We all prefer to start the MP without testing metabolites if that is acceptable.
5. One Doctor will furnish patient care and prescriptions, but will not coordinate MP. The possibilities with other doctors in our area (Kokomo, IN) is less than none.
6. I have been glued to your website for 3 weeks and have purchased the videos. I am motivated, retired, willing and able to work under the terms of the MP and to assist my family in understanding and following the MP to recovery.
Question:
If we turn in applications, will you deal with me in providing guidance for us and allow me to help furnish the feedback reports as you require? (Our Doctor will not do this)

Thank you for furnishing the references! They were a great help.
Please note the situations and the question that follows:
1. My daughter has Lyme didease since 2002. (She wants to start MP asap)
2. My wife has Sarcoidosis (She wants to start MP asap)
3. I have Macular degeneration (I want to start MPasap)
4. We prefer to skip the D-Metabolites test if that is acceptable.
5. Our Doctor will furnish the care and prescriptions, but will not coordinate MP.
6. I am motivated, retired, willing and able to assist my family in following the MP.
Question:
If we submit applications, will you allow me to serve as coordinator? (See #5 above)

Hi tjpitch,
The MP study is currently closed. To get on the waiting list, please see this link: MP Memberships Temporarily Closed. If you are accepted for the trial, you can discuss coordination with the medical moderators.
I'm not sure why you feel you don't need the D tests - they are a good indication of whether the MP is right for you, and good to know your base level before you start. It's possible to proceed without the 1,25-D, but you do need to know your 25-D level, as the MP will only 'work' when you succeed in getting your 25-D level down satisfactorily.

Hi Julia!
Your answer makes me so happy! Thanks to you and all who work so hard to share the MP blessing with everyone. I'm not experienced with the forum routine so this may be upside down or sideways or who knows what.
My wife, daughter and myself are not currently taking any medicines. We are not well, but our diseases have not progressed to the degree that you and many others have experienced.
Today was a milestone as we found a new doctor who took an interest and agreed to help us follow the MP, but he also said he would need help. He wrote the prescription for my wife and agreed to register on the MP website. I left the "Physician's Guide to the Marshall Protocol" along with my letter of introduction and three of the DVDs that I had sent for.
Our glasses and pill boxes with timers should arrive this week. Since the MP site is closed to new members, it leaves us unsure if we can proceed under the care and surveilance of our doctor even when he registers on the MP website???
Regarding our reluctance to taking the Blood test:
1. It is rather pricey for a po boy.
2. As I interpret from Trevor Marshall, "the therapuetic probe is the gold standard." The symptomatic reactions seem adequate to justify and follow the MP through to recovery.
3. It seems to me the blood test is less important now than in the beginning where it served to support what was already known and helped convince the disbelievers.
4. Disclaimer: Please understand at this point I know just enough to be dangerous.
Will folllow your suggestion to get on the waiting list - Thanks again
Dean

Dean,
You can do the MP without the support of the medical team, under the supervision of your doctor. But, just as you so astutely observed that you "know just enough to be dangerous", your doc is unlikely to be able to administer the MP safely unless he's prepared to do a lot of studying on the MP site, and post questions in the professionals' forum. We're very concerned about the number of doctors who start a patient on the MP, and then try to 'modify' it because they haven't had time to grasp the science behind it. Please take care to thoroughly study the Information provided.
The 25-D test isn't so pricey. True, a probe can do the job, but it's useful to know where your 25-D stands, so that you can work it down to a therapeutic level.
