Hey Julia,

Things get uncomfortable for me as soon as I get out into light, it bothers my mood.

It is when the sun is down that I feel better....even my computer screen bothers me.

I am supposed to get 1,25 D levels today.

Most food causes IP within just a few moments...don't know if I can do anything about that now.

Is it possible Benicar can help me with these symptoms?

I don't know if I am going to be visiting a client  or in bed at given moment,

when I am going down...I cancel everything...even if I lose a lot of money....thousands some times.

Also where or how do I post my conditions/ d levels?

Thanks....maybe you can look at this and still recommend starting now?

Sean

Sean,

NoIR sunglasses will help with the light problems.  Most members find Benicar helps with symptoms, but many find they become more light sensitive on the MP.  Everyone's different.

You sound quite ill, and I think you would be foolish to wait if you can possibly start now.  Do you have a doctor who's prepared to prescribe it for you?

As Natalie said a couple of posts up, when you have had your D-Metabolites tests done, go to Help with Understanding D-metabolites for expert analysis and help with understanding your results.

I wanted to know if any one could answer questions on thyoid supplementaton/Armour.

I have read the information on thyroid supplementation...I started Armour 2 weeks ago for a low t3 .

It wasnt until I doubled my dose that I began to be able to function....that would be 120 mg a day now.

Meg stated that she switched to Cytomel....my doctor wants to see how Armour will do by itself.

I cant seem to correspond with her in the study site because I am not signed up for that, but if she or anyone else has any experience with this I would appreciate.

I would really like to share my levels and make sure I am doing the rght thng,

it does seem to make a difference....it may make it easier for me to get through MP

Sean, Your physician will have to manage this with you based upon your labs. In my opinion some people would do better by reducing Armour dose and just adding low dose of T3 every 6 hours; and then they may even wean off the Armour. That way you can avoid the interferance of too much T4 that may be a problem for some. The goal is to keep T3 levels in mid to high normal range even if T4 ends up being low or low normal it does not matter as T3 is the more active substance that the body needs to function.

My 1,25 D level came in at 58.

I am not sure if they measured for 25 D, is that a problem if I don't have that one?

I had been off all D supplements for one and a half months at the time of the test.

Does a level of 58 indicate Th1 pathogens?

Thanks,

Sean

Hi Sean,

Your 1,25-D is very elevated at  58pg/ml (the population average is 25-29 pg/ml). It is 3.05 sigma high and based on population studies, 99.90 % of the population would be expected to have a lower number.

Your 1,25-D is above the maximum of 45pg/ml listed in the Merck Manual of Diagnosis and Therapy (15 Oct 2006 online). At levels above about 42 pg/ml, the 1,25-D (generated by the Th1 inflammation) begins to stimulate bone osteoclasts,  causing bone to be resorbed (dissolved) back into the bloodstream. Not only does this lead to osteoporosis, but also to calcium being deposited into soft tissue of the body, including the lungs, breasts, and the kidneys (where it forms kidney stones). Please see Osteoporosis, osteopenia and Th1 illness.

Your level of elevation might suggest inflammation in major organs such as heart, liver and lungs.

It is a good idea to have your 25-D measured. Because 25-D is immunosuppressive, you need to avoid ALL sources of Vitamin D to get it down to a therapeutic level of 12ng/ml or less. Please see Foods To Avoid and The importance of avoiding vitamin D.

"The 25-D seems to be the most critical factor as to whether the immune system is able to start working. Any level of 25-D above about 20ng/ml is likely to be acting as an immunosuppressant, with an action very similar to that of corticosteroids." Dr. Trevor Marshall, Ph.D.

Your D-test, diagnosis and symptoms indicate Th1 inflammation. Please see Symptoms of Hypervitaminosis-D and you may recognize a few more. You will not get well and your health will continue to deteriorate if you don't treat the underlying bacterial cause of Th1 inflammation with the MP. Please see Is the MP an applicable treatment for my disease?

Most supplements and many medications must be avoided on the MP.

Our clinical study is temporarily closed to enrollment. As vacancies occur, we will admit subjects based on an application. To obtain an application forum, please send an email to marshallprotocol2@yahoo.com  with 'request MP application' in the subject line.
best, P.B.

Sean,

I have merged your most recent question with your existing thread.  Even if the topic is different, please continue to ask future questions in here - we do see when you post a new question as it gets 'bumped' to the top of the lsit :).

I think how long the DVDs take to arrive depends on many variables - your location, how busy the ARF are, how busy the postal service is etc.  I'd suggest if you don't receive them in a couple of weeks to send off an email.

Best,
Natalie

Thanks Aussie for your swift reply,

My question was specifically if I AM on the MP,

is there any risk to a future baby if she gets pregnant[while I am taking tetracyclines]?

That was not addressed I dont think....maybe because it is not an issue?

if you can login thru the email link - should mean you are already logged in,  ie continuously logged in.
otherwise clicking the link would take you to the login page. or,
- the page you are viewing is available without being a member.

If you can post you are definitely logged in.

You are a member of this site. The MP site and this site are 2 separate sites. I dont see you listed as a Member at MP.com. Do you have an ID at the MP site?
see Information re MP Memberships

As well as reading the MP site, reading the posts of other members on this site will help you. Thanks, Barb ...

I am trying to fill out an application for future  membership vacancies in the Marshall Protocol.

I cannot post answers on the application...I get a + sign when I try to answer.

Just started Benicar....cannot seem to get mino in tablet forms...only capsules

Taking this very seriously and do not want to be stuck in phase one when it is time to change.

Can anyone advise me on sending in this application by e-mail?

Thanks

Sean

Sean, It sounds like you need to ask someone who is computer savvy to sit with you and show you what you are doing that does not work. It would be too hard for me to figure out what you are doing from this distance. You could cut and paste questionnaire into new e-mail if reply to sender for some reason has you locked out.
Mino does not have to be in tablet form although it may be easier to split in that form. The tablet form is not readily available in all areas.
best, P.B.
