Chris,
Welcome to the general questions site. This is your discussion thread to ask questions and learn about the Marshall Pathogenesis and Marshall Protocol.
The http://www.MarshallProtocol.com study site has a library of information to learn about Th1 Chronic Inflammatory Disease. It is also set up to help people who have been accepted into the study.
MP Memberships Temporarily Closed
Please note new members are accepted through an application process. Health Professionals are welcome, and will be manually joined into the database after sending an email listing their desired username and password. The link has all the information to do that.
I hope you will continue reading the information on the study site to help you understand the cause of Th1 inflammation and how to treat it safely and successfully. For background information, see What is the Marshall Protocol? The science is detailed here and simple explanations provides less technical descriptions.
Be sure to click on all the links in our responses to you. Take your time to absorb all the information. You may be eager to start but it's important to be thoroughly prepared before you begin.
The study site is the only source that is certain to have reliable information about the MP. Do not assume your doctor knows all about the MP or is willing to study it. You must educate yourself, using the study site, to ensure the MP is followed correctly. Please note:
-It is the patient's responsibility to see that the prescribing doctor is following the MP correctly.
-It is the patient's responsibility to see that the prescribing doctor understands the effectiveness of the MP and the dangers inherent in deviation from the guidelines.
-Combining other protocols with the MP will not work and can lead to dangerous immunopathology.
Please be sure you understand these details: Is the Marshall Protocol an Applicable Treatment for my Disease?
Inclusion criteria for participation in ARF phase II clinical study of the Marshall Protocol
Safety warning
D-metabolites tests
Which diagnostic tests do I need?
Protecting Your Eyes
The Effect of Sunlight/daylight and Bright Lights I also recommend you frequently read Amy Proal's http://www.Bacteriality.com site. A good place to start is her recent presentation in vimeo (movie) format. Here is Amy's description and the link:
"In the following video, I explain the science that forms the backbone of the Marshall Protocol in simple terms. I discuss the bacteria implicated in causing chronic inflammatory disease, and explain how these pathogens affect the immune system. I also describe the basics of the treatment itself, providing information that any patient who plans to start the Marshall Protocol, or any doctor planning to put a patient on the MP, should understand. My narration is accompanied by slides with pictures and images of the pathogens and molecules I discuss. The video is 89 minutes."

Best to you Ross--Janet

Chris,
You do not need to be in the study to do the MP, but in any case you do need a Dr who's willing to support you in the MP, write the prescriptions and so on.
If you can't get into the study, do try to get your Doc to make use of the professionals forum.
You might tell your doctor s/he can request membership in the medical professional's forum for the Marshall Protocol at http://www.autoimmunityresearch.org by clicking "Medical Professional Login" in the upper right corner.

Just went for d-test first lab says no we don't freeze for shipping. Then they recommend I go to the near by hospital saying their lab wouldn't need to freeze it, they would do the test there in their lab. Turns out no testing at their lab they send it out also, there computer says not to freeze the book says to freeze, I tried to tell them to freeze it anyway and I got them to agree but was told they deep freeze at 70 then it goes down on ice to be shipped to the lab off site. Is this going to be a problem? I lost confidence that it was being done right. Blood was done at 9:10am was being picked up for shipping at 11:00am do you for see any problems with this being done?
Thanks
Chris

Chris,
The instruction for the 1,25-D test given in D-Metabolites Tests says
-The sample should be allowed to settle and clot at room temperature for at least 30 minutes (but no more than two hours) and then centrifuged. Do not hold on dry ice prior to centrifuging.
-After centrifuging, freeze at between -2 and -10 C.
-The sample must be transported on dry ice in order to remain frozen until it reaches the testing lab.
What was the lab called? 1,25-D is a tricky test and needs to be done right. Quest are the MP recommended labs.

Thank you for the response Julie & Chris. I received the doctors list it seems to be no help so far I've contacted near me and one won't accept insurance, and won't accept new patients until November. Has anyone ever reported seeing in there eyes what appears the be the same indentity as the pictured L-Form bacteria. For example if I stare at the ceiling I can see them in my eyes when I look near sighted I can see many of them. My lab work(D test) not done correctly there fore I didn't post the results. I will get a new test done by Quest soon then post results. I'm new to this forum stuff. I tried to talk to my Gp about MP but he refused to look at it or talk about it. I've changed my eating habits to cut out vit D & limit the amount of sun ie cover up/noir glasses whats at risk without taking the Bencar/Abx?
Thank you
Chris
I Really believe in MP and would love to get help soon.

Chris,
I think what you're seeing in your eyes may be just floaters (click for further info) which are generally harmless; most people get them as they get older, and people with Th1 disease often get them worse than average. If they increase you should get your eyes checked. Regular eye checkups are a good thing anyway.
For more info on reducing sunlight and vit D, please see Should I wear NoIRs, avoid natural light exposure and eliminate vitamin D before starting Benicar?
