Wondering how long it will be until sunlight does not cause inflammation while on MP? I know this is a function of how sick i was/am but i am under the impression that most people on this board are still dodging the rays.

| My eye sensitivity to light went away at about 8 months on MP. I was moderately affected by TH1 at the start. Sun light on the skin is still a problem, but it has changed over the last number of months (currently at 16 months) from causing a lessening of IP, to causing an increase in IP. Seems there is some kind of an MP phase change having taken place, but don''t think anyone has ever designated this change as a milestone. Cynthia

Cynthia, you might look at this article on the stages of the MP:
http://mpkb.org/doku.php/home:mp:stages
Seems that the shift in response to sunlight on the skin would be a sign of entering the early part of stage 5. This has started recently for me as well.

| No, I am quite sure my reaction to sun on the skin is not a Stage 5 reaction. Too early for that, 17 months, and I am probably not really into Stage 4 yet, as I have no need yet to start backing off of the ABx. Cynthia

Ok, that is probably right Cynthia. I'm not sure we have much data for people who started the MP "early" such as you, so I was willing to consider the possibility.

Try
Becoming less light sensitive
When Light Sensitivity lessens
I know people who have never been light sensitive on the MP. I'm aware of people who lost it after 12 months. I'm almost 2.5 years in and still light sensitive. How sensitive varies considerably with how much I'm herxing (the worse I'm herxing the worse the light sensitivity).
From what I've seen, it's very variable.
regards, k
